Four Warning Signs of Recruitment Fraud

Be vigilant when interacting with recruiters across any platform, messaging app, or SMS.

1. Upfront Payment Demands

Any request for "gate pass fees", "training material costs", "courier charges", or "security deposits for remote hardware" is fraudulent. Reputable employers provide equipment free of charge.

2. Telegram & WhatsApp "Part-Time Task" Scams

Beware unsolicited messages offering ₹2,000–₹5,000/day for rating hotels, liking YouTube clips, or prepaid crypto tasks. Genuine corporate recruiters do not hire via anonymous group chats.

3. Suspicious Free Email Domains

Large enterprises (Infosys, TCS, Swiggy, etc.) communicate exclusively via company domains (e.g. @swiggy.in, @infosys.com), never via free personal addresses (e.g. @gmail.com).

4. Requests for OTPs or Banking Credentials
